Our most successful venture to date. Bourbon Red Turkeys are a rare breed and are quite difficult to produce. We have hadBourbons with the Hoggsters for 5 years. They are large birds with the stag reaching 20+ pounds on the table. We hatch, bring on, dispatch, hand pluck, truss and dress at home. The meat is succulent and juicy - absolutely nothing like the bland supermarket birds. Eggs are incubated from late Feb with the first hatching around the end of March. We prefer to sell poults from June/July time when the birds can be sexed. All the birds run free range from hatching, other than my breeding sets.
